There will be a field trip to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge in Delaware on August 6th. Meet at the Tilghman Square parking lot, near the Red Robin restaurant, just west of Route 309 at 7:30 AM. Trip leader will be Peter Saenger.

Sightings from LYNN TOWNSHIP, Lehigh County: LITTLE BLUE HERON – 1 on 7/21 (at Route 863 and Kistler Valley Road).

Sightings from GREEN LANE RESERVOIR, Montgomery County: At the Church Road area: LITTLE BLUE HERON – 1 on 7/17; 2 from 7/18 to 7/21; 3 from 7/22 to at least 7/29 SNOWY EGRET – 1 on 7/20 and 7/21; 2 on 7/22; 1 from 7/23 to at least 7/29 Great Egrets – 59 on 7/22 AMERICAN AVOCET – 1 on 7/16; 1 on 7/25 Caspian Tern – 1 on 7/29 ALDER FLYCATCHER – 1 to at least 7/28. Also Ruddy Duck, and Pectoral and Semipalmated Sandpiper.

Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County: LITTLE BLUE HERONS – 5 on 7/16.

Sightings from MERRILL CREEK RESERVOIR in nearby New Jersey: BROWN BOOBY – 1 from 7/10 to 7/18.
