Sightings from the BRODHEADSVILLE area, Monroe County: PINE SISKINS – ~100 to at least 2/8 (at a private feeder).

Sightings from the PORTLAND area, Northampton County: From the Portland footbridge: GLAUCOUS GULL – 1 on 2/8 (1st-winter) ICELAND GULL – 1 on 2/8 (1st-winter).

Sightings from LOWER MOUNT BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Northampton County: ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK – 1 on 2/8 (dark morph; along Miller Road) LAPLAND LONGSPUR – 1 to at least 2/7 (along Miller Road).

Sightings from the BELVIDERE area in nearby New Jersey: REDHEADS – 4 on 2/6; 5 on 2/8.

Sightings from the MARTINS CREEK PPL POWER PLANT area, Northampton County: Eastern Phoebe – 1 to at least 2/8 (at the boat launch).

Sightings from PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Northampton County: At the Grand Central landfill: ICELAND GULL – 1 on 2/7.

Sightings from the EASTON area, Northampton County: BARROW’S GOLDENEYE – 1 to at least 2/12 (female; viewed from the Autogrille Deli access just north of Easton) REDHEADS – 4 on 2/12. At the ‘Forks of the Delaware’: ICELAND GULL – 1 on 2/8.

Sightings from WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP, Northampton County: HARRIS’S SPARROW – 1 to at least 2/13 (first-winter bird) “Gambel’s” White-crowned Sparrow – 1 to at least 2/13. Also Red-shouldered Hawk, and Field and Savannah Sparrow.

Sightings from the BETHLEHEM area, Northampton County: Peregrine Falcon – 1 on 2/8.

Sightings from EAST ALLEN TOWNSHIP, Northampton County: SNOW BUNTINGS – a few on 2/8 (along Arrowhead Road).

Sightings from BELTZVILLE STATE PARK, Carbon County: ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK – 1 on 2/7 (light morph).

Sightings from the NEW TRIPOLI area, Lehigh County: ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK – 1 on 2/8 (light morph; along Bausch Road).

Sightings from LAKE MUHLENBERG, Lehigh County: REDHEADS – 2 on 2/6.

Sightings from the GILBERTSVILLE area, Montgomery County: BULLOCK’S ORIOLE – 1 to at least 2/8 (along Oberholtzer Road).

Bald Eagles, Winter Wrens, and PINE SISKINS were reported at several sites this past week.
