The next Audubon program will be held on February 13th at 7:00 PM at the Wildlands Conservancy in Emmaus. Scott Burnet will do a program on “Attracting Birds to Your Backyard with Nest Boxes, Feeders, and Water Features.”

Sightings from the MARTINS CREEK PPL POWER PLANT area, Northampton County: Red-breasted Merganser – 1 on 2/4 Eastern Phoebe – 1 to at least 2/1 (at the boat launch).

Sightings from the EASTON area, Northampton County: BARROW’S GOLDENEYE – 1 to at least 2/2 (female; viewed from the Autogrille Deli access just north of Easton) REDHEADS – 2 on 1/31. At the ‘Forks of the Delaware’: ICELAND GULL – 1 on 2/1.

Sightings from WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP, Northampton County: HARRIS’S SPARROW – 1 to at least 2/6 (first-winter bird) “Gambel’s” White-crowned Sparrow – 1 to at least 2/6.

Sightings from the NEW TRIPOLI area, Lehigh County: Eastern Towhee – 1 on 2/4 (at a private feeder) Fox Sparrow – 1 to at least 2/6 (at a private feeder).

Sightings from the ALLENTOWN area, Lehigh County: At the Dorney Park pond: REDHEAD – 1 to at least 2/3.

Sightings from the GILBERTSVILLE area, Montgomery County: BULLOCK’S ORIOLE – 1 to at least 2/5 (along Oberholtzer Road).

Sightings from LAKE NOCKAMIXON, Bucks County: Red-shouldered Hawk – 1 on 1/31.

PINE SISKINS were reported at several sites this past week.
