Sightings from the NAZARETH QUARRY, Northampton County: ROSS’S GOOSE – 1 on 12/26 and 12/27 (among ~30,000 Snow Geese) Cackling Geese – 4 on 12/27 REDHEADS – 3 on 12/27 Peregrine Falcon – 1 on 12/27. Also Bald Eagle.

Sightings from LOWER NAZARETH TOWNSHIP, Northampton County: SANDHILL CRANE – 1 on 12/27 (‘fly-by’ near Route 248 exit of Route 33).

Sightings from WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP, Northampton County: HARRIS’S SPARROW – 1 to at least 1/1 (first-winter bird) “Gambel’s” White-crowned Sparrow – 1 to at least 1/1.

Sightings from the BRODHEADSVILLE area, Monroe County: At Weir Lake: BARNACLE GEESE – 2 to at least 12/31.

Sightings from the FOGELSVILLE QUARRY, Lehigh County: ROSS’S GEESE – 1 on 12/26 (white morph) and 1/1 (blue morph).

Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County: GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE – 1 on 12/28 Cackling Goose – seen during this past week Common Mergansers – 555 back on 12/23 ICELAND GULL – 1 on 12/27 (second-winter bird) Lesser Black-backed Gulls – 133 on 12/26 Great Black-backed Gulls – 31 on 12/26. Also Red-breasted Nuthatch.
